As co-founders of Neue Deutsche Härte (NDH), Megaherz has shaped the German rock scene since their formation in Munich in 1993. From the start, the band developed a distinctive sound: heavy guitar riffs and electronic elements blend with profound, metaphorical lyrics in German.

With the release of their debut album Wer bist du in 1997, Megaherz established itself as one of the leading forces in the emerging NDH movement. Classics like „Gott sein“ and „Miststück“ secured their firm place in the genre and introduced them to a wide audience.

Over the years, Megaherz has consistently maintained their musical identity, powerfully returning to their original roots in their work. Their lyrics delve deep into human emotions and societal issues, always creating a dark, contemplative, yet powerful atmosphere.
